Alarms, bed leaving, bed sheet, epilepsy, baby door alarm, bed seizure
Baby Cry Alarm For Deaf Parents. The SM-1 is a sound monitoring device designed specifically to detect a baby crying. The alarms are manufactured in accordance with our medical devices quality procedures to a very high standard of reliability and performance (although they are not medical devices). The sound monitor is positioned in the baby’s room close to the cot or bed. Two monitor controls provide adjustment for the microphone sensitivity and sound delay.
As sounds are detected, a LED blinks to confirm the sensitivity level is correct. If no delay is set, the alarm operates instantly transmitting a signal to the parent alarm receiver. If delay is selected, the sounds would have to continue for several seconds before the alarm signal is transmitted. This control is important as it almost eliminates false alarms caused by short loud sounds. The monitor has battery backup with indication for power failure.
The Parent alarm receiver simply plugs into the mains in the parent bedroom. When a signal is received by the monitor a powerful vibrating pad operates to wake the parent. The vibrating pad can be unplugged to enable the monitor to operate as a portable alarm receiver for use downstairs or in another room with a plug in flasher unit.
