Alarms, bed leaving, bed sheet, epilepsy, baby door alarm, bed seizure
The Fire Centurion was designed in 1989 as an aid for deaf people to solve the problem of relaying an alarm signal from a smoke detector into the bedroom without the requirement for wiring.
It was built to comply with American UL regulations for fire alarms. Today the British Standard BS5446 part III applies to fire warning devices for the hearing impaired.
The Fire Centurion is fully compliant with the standard. The Fire Centurion series uses radio signals to transmit the alarm signal from a smoke detector to an alarm receiver positioned by the bed of a deaf or hard of hearing person.
The alarm receiver is fitted with a xenon strobe and vibrating bed shaker that is positioned under the pillow.
